Grasse Museums
Musée International de la Parfumerie showcases every aspect of the creation of perfume, and has a variety of exhibits both interesting and bizarre. On the second floor, there is a display of a 3, 000 year old perfumed mummy's hand and foot. The fourth floor features the base elements that go into the creation of well-known perfumes.
Villa-Musee Jean-Honore Fragonard showcases the life of this artist, who was born in Grasse in 1732. The collection here features his paintings, as well as paintings and other pieces of art done by his family members. The grand staircase here was deisgned by his grandson Alexandre.
Musée d'Art et d'Histoire de Provence is located in the Hotel de Clapiers-Cabris, which was constructed in 1771. The collection here features numerous archaelogical finds and historic pieces. Kitchemware, pottery, four poster beds, urns, paintings, ceramics, brasses, marquetry, and more are all exhibited here.
