Musée & Ile-de-France Musée & Ile-de-France is set in one of the Cote d'Azur's most legendary villas, constructed by Baronne Ephrussi de Rothschild. Upon her death in 1934, she left the building and it's gardens to Institut de France on behalf of the Académie des Beaux-Arts. Her collection is housed here for the public to see, and it includes many impressive pieces. 18th century furniture, original drawings by Fragonard, screens and panels from the far east, Tiepolo ceilings, canvases by Boucher, Savonnerie carpets, and tapestries from Gobelins, Aubusson, and Beauvais. The gardens contain fragments of statuary from churches, demolished palaces, and monastaries. Address: Av. Denis-Séméria Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat France
