The most famous place for a stroll in Nice, the Promenade des Anglais meanders past hotels from the Belle Epoque, palaces now acting as museums and swanky apartment buildings, all the while keeping the turquoise Mediterranean in sight. Not entirely a recreational walk, a trip to the end and back takes about three hours.

Strolling this classy boulevard is an absolute must when staying in Cannes. It's endlessly entertaining, and also the cheapest pastime in the city! Beautiful beach babes, the fabulously wealthy and French high society mingle together to create a cheerful and lively crowd. The boulevard is lined with upscale shops and cafes to browse through.
